How to use this site...This page will tell you how to use our church's site. We, the FBC Web Team, would like to help you in any way we can that you may benefit from the ministry of this site. We hope this page helps you to navigate our site with ease. #1. If you experience any problems or difficulties with navigating our site, or if you have any ideas about how to make our site even better, please contact the Webmaster. #2. You would benefit from joining our site. In the upper right hand corner of the home page, there is a phrase, "Register New User". By clicking on this link, you will be taken to a basic form to enter as much or as little information as you like. This is especially beneficial to our members in that a few areas of our church's web site are "members only." For example, just the average visitor to our site can open the Church Directory link, but they cannot see information about our members. You must be a member of our church in order to access member information through the Church Directory. Once you have registered, the upper right hand phrase should read, "Hello (your name)". If you ever get to our site and this is not displayed, click on the "Log In" link (if you have previously registered). This will open up your access to the entire benefits of our site. #3. One of the best features on this site is a small phrase on the left of the home page. About halfway down the left column is a phrase, "search site". By clicking on this, a window will open allowing you to enter a word or phrase related to what you are looking for. This search engine will search only our church's site for what you have entered. This is a quick and easy way to search our site for what you are looking for. #4. You can make the First Baptist Church Gladewater web site your home page. This means that whenever you sign onto the internet the first site you are directed to is our church's site (Except for AOL users). To do this, click on the "make home page" link halfway down the left hand column of the home page. This will also allow you to click on the "Home" button in your browser's menu bar and be directed to our site. #5. If you would like to save our site into your favorites, there are two ways. You can click on the "Add Favorite" halfway down the left hand column of the home page. Or you can use your browser's "Favorites" features (see your browser's help menu). #6. The Church Directory link in the left hand column of our home page is a great resource. The only problem with it is that only the members who have registered with our site will be listed. Once you click on this link, you will be taken to the Church Directory page. At the top of this page is a brief description of how to use this feature. Remember... only those who have registered with our site are listed (so encourage everyone you know to register). Also... only church members have access to this information. #7. If you would like to see everything our site contains (titles only), click on "Site Map" in the left hand column of our home page. Then you can click on whatever link you wish to know more about.
